NOW BOOKING FALL 2025 FAMILY & SENIOR SESSIONS

Julia wanted her senior photos to reflect both her horse girl side and her “normal teenage girl” side, so we designed a session that beautifully captured both. We split her shoot into two parts and two locations to showcase the different aspects of her personality and the things she loves most.
We began at Talbot Street Farm in Carmel, Indiana, where Julia’s equestrian story truly shines. Her horse, Loquattro, known affectionately around the barn as Elliot, joined us for the first half of her session. Elliot posed for a few black background portraits, which is my favorite way to highlight the elegance and personality of every horse I photograph. The black background draws your attention right to the horse’s expression and details, like Elliot’s adorable snip and pink nose!
After wrapping up at the barn, we headed to The Virginia B. Fairbanks Art & Nature Park at Newfields for the second half of Julia’s senior session. She wanted something bright, natural, and floral to balance out the equestrian photos. The wildflower meadow was in full bloom, and the golden hour light gave everything that warm, glowy tone us photographers dream about. Julia twirled her sundress and embraced the carefree spirit of her final year of high school.
Combining these two looks—classic equestrian portraits at the barn and girlie golden-hour photos—created the perfect mix for Julia’s session. Her horse girl senior photos feel personal, timeless, and true to who she is, both in and out of the saddle!
